Ontario Forest Sector Strategy (draft) is primarily a document that describes the goal to industrialize our public and private forests. There is no reference to any goal of maintaining biodiversity of tree species or ages, protecting or establishing old growth forest communities and no reference what so ever of maintaining or creating healthy wildlife habitats. There must be a balance between maximizing economic benefits and protecting "NATURAL" forest habitats. A forest managed exclusively to create the greatest economic return is as closely related to a healthy natural forest as a corn field is related to a natural meadow. This document is greatly lacking!!
