Re ERO number 019-0880
Ontario's Forest Sector Strategy is not sustainable and I oppose it.
This strategy needs to be changed.
Proposing to double how much forest is cut in Ontario in a time when we are trying to understand climate change and how it affects our health is not in the interest of Ontarians.
The proposal is shortsighted with a focus on increasing immediate wealth without regard for our future.
In the face of climate change Ontario forest should be considered a resource as it stands intact, not a resource as it is cut and sold.
I live in Ontario and I do not support allowing such an increase of logging to take place in Ontario.
