One thing that helps to increase and improve privately owned forest cover in Ontario, is the Municipal Tax Incentive Plan. Also the work of the Ontario Woodlot Association encourages the development of higher quality trees in the privately owned lands through educational forums ,and visitations to sites of excellent forest stands.
