Fully support Ontario's Forest Sector Strategy. It is vital that Ontario manages its forest resources in a sustainable fashion, while providing opportunities for economic and social benefits. Resource industries that are supported by Ontario's Forests need reliable and secure access to forest resources, particularly in northern and rural communities.

Our forest industry mills need to be competitive on a global stage with new and innovative forest products. Our forests are well-managed and the new forest strategy is opportunity to promote the education of the value that the forests play to the workers, other spin-off employment opportunities and overall the communities where they are located.

The Ontario government has taken great leadership in developing a sustainable vision and outlook for the future of our forests.
