I am NOT in favour of reducing the amount developers pay for parks, child care centres and other services in Willowdale. In fact, I am in favour of increasing what developers pay. I am in support of requiring developers to build low cost housing for every new condo building they put up. I am in favour of reducing opportunities for investors to push up the price of houses because they are keeping people who need a place to live from acquiring it.
I am NOT in favour of encroaching on the greenbelt to build more homes. This would be devastating to the environment and farming.
I am in favour of a government sponsored program that requires developers to build homes that are environmentally friendly...eg...geo thermal heating, insulation, solar panels etc. We need to move away from our dependency on fossil fuels to heat our homes.
