We live in this community and a very against this proposal. This is a family neighborhood by the lakefront that attracts a lot of visitors. I'm very opposed to the waste disposal site.
This is a huge operation and should not be located immediately adjacent to residential areas.
It will involve:
- 100 trucks per day using Lawrence Ave E to Port Union and Beechgrove drive, coming from and to the 401 from all over Ontario
- 2,500 tonnes of waste/day to be processed, 24/7/365 days per year
A new non residential site should be found for this purpose away from this neighborhood!
