The communities in the surrounding area were strongly opposed to the trucking of sewage sludge through our community from the sewage treatment plant. We definitely do not want to see the trucking of food and organic waste through our neighborhood. The noise and emissions from the trucks would have an adverse effect on the individuals living here. In addition, Port Union Road does not have the capacity for more northbound traffic.
Any emissions from the proposed plant would also have a detrimental effect on the air quality .
