An accelerated environmental assessment is the wrong way to go. This extra highway in an area already well-served by highway infrastructure will be passing through the greenbelt - an area that is so important for the drinking water of millions of people. Skimping on the consultation and ramming through the agenda of developer interests is not the way to go in a democracy: lets proceed with caution when the plans are in danger of destroying crucial environmental habitat and natural water filtration.
