I am totally against the proposed route of the 413. It does not make sense to have it come so close to the subdivision at Kirby Rd and #27 when there is so much space north of this area that would not cause noise issues to this quiet community.
This is meant to be a trucking route that is unnecessary at this time. It would create havoc and eternal damage to the Greenbelt. It would displace untold numbers of creatures and make the land uninhabitable for the many species of animals that currently live in this region.
The big question is "why is this highway so important when alternatives exist that are still nowhere near their capacity, like the 407 highway which is a mere 10-15 kilometers south.
On another note, the cost of this highway would be exorbitant and an additional burden on a province that is already struggling with debt.
This matter should be shelved until the province can at least balance its budget instead of throwing our tax dollars on another ridiculous project when there are so many other things that need to be addressed.
