In your proposal you suggest that falconry has a neutral impact on wild populations. I would like to suggest that falconry has a positive impact by acting as ambassadors for raptors. Many raptors are shot annually, many by hunters. I know of several instances where gun hunters in particular and the public in general have gained a greater appreciation and respect for bird of prey through personal interactions with falconry birds. I believe these people are consiferably less likely to harm raptors in the future.
I am therefore writing to support this proposal.
