As we know falconers were the pinnacle in the recuperation of Peregrine Falcons in North America due to DDT. The conservation efforts made by falconers in NA is noteworthy and allowing more falconers to utilize wild raptors for falconry will help by providing shelter, food and hunting skills to young birds that are likely to meet their demise in the wild. Being able to release them back into the wild as breeding stock will make more of a positive impact in the long run. This proposal is a step in the right direction and I look forward to seeing more permits available for goshawks in the future.
