I write as a practicing Master Class Falconer for over 53 years, who resides in the Central United States. I applaud your desire for evidence based regulations governing and protecting your natural resources. I spent over 23 summers in Ontario enjoying your abundant fishing and wildlife.
You have an amazing province full of warm and welcoming people!
I fully support this proposal, even though I will likely never benefit from it. I write because I passionately believe in and support the ancient art and heritage of Falconry, and want to ensure it survives and prospers for others throughout the world.
It remains uncontroverted and supported by decades of scientific studies publicly available in North America and abroad, the taking of wild raptors for Falconry has no adverse impact on wild raptor populations.
