I believe that the capture of Northern Goshawks should not be done during the breeding season, as taking a parent that is raising its young will negatively affect the population of the species. In addition, the population of Northern Goshawks is significantly smaller than other raptors in Ontario. Hence, it is unadvisable to be taking a parent hawk (as both males and females play a significant role in raising the chicks) during the breeding season.
