I wholeheartedly support the wild take amendments. I believe the proposed 5 goshawk limits is more than restrictive enough to prevent a decline in the wild population and that if a trained bird is released later in its life it will be a boon to the population. Considering 80% of wild birds of prey don't make it past their first year i forsee no issues with the very limited amount of falconers in ontario taking 5 if any bird of prey a year. I hope that the proposed amendments help falconry in ontario continue one of the oldest traditions in history.
