We have been writing to everyone we can think of to register our total horror at the possibility of a new waste processing facility at 633 Coronation Rd in West Hill being allowed to proceed. We cannot imagine the Ministry of the Environment thinking that such a facility would not be the worst possible business for our community.
Please think of the welfare of the many folks living in this beautiful waterfront community. We fought long and hard to prevent trucking of sewage sludge from the waste treatment plant through our streets and neighbourhoods a number of years ago. Now we are facing another such threat once again.
This ministry exists to safeguard the environment and the people from such toxic waste facilities. We ask that you ensure nothing like this can be given a permit to proceed.
