Requiring producers to take responsibility is a great step. Glad to hear it. I have a comment:
Your proposal is for the blue bin to accept "materials commonly put in blue boxes by residents", including "packaging", "single-use packaging-like products, such as foils, wraps, trays, boxes, bags" and "single-use items supplied with food and beverage products such as straws, cutlery, plates, stir sticks". However, these items are extremely difficult to recycle and could "mess up" the rest of the recyclables. How will Ontario ensure recycling streams maintain their integrity and value?
