I agree with the municipal veto, but the 379,000-
litre threshold is too high. Any amount of new water taking for water bottling is unacceptable. Municipalities should have veto power over all be permits, big and small, including this taking less than 379,000 litres per day for water bottling.
Commercialising common goods like water will further increase social inequality, and if we want to move towards a more equal and social just society, we have to take this seriously and reject permits for taking any amout of water for commercial purposes such as water bottling.
