Ontario has to allow full planning processes with Environmental Impact Study and Indigenous consultation to assure the full protection of Treaty Rights in Ontario. We must demonstrate compliance with International law. We must approach development with regards to science and the need to maintain Canada's commitments for the UN Convention on Biodiversity, the Source Water Protection Act, the Provincial Policy statement and the Endangered Species Act if we are to protect Ontario's economy, water supply, farmland and ecological life supports for the long term. If we put greed before planet we will parish. It is ridiculous to plan in ignorance. We must prioritize sustaining our collective ecological life supports as a top priority not an after thought. It is the inherit right of all life forms to continue on this planet. Good planning can assure a net benefit for all when implimented with responsible governance and best practices.
