As a citizen of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, I am very concerned about the proposed Ferrochrome smelter planned for our city. To date there has been limited public consultation and it is difficult to have trust in the Ontario government if this proposed smelter is exempt from a proper EA. I strongly believe that all proposed smelters and mining projects should be required to undergo a thorough Environmental Assessment in order to protect current and future health of the people of Ontario.
