I am against this idea for the following reasons:
* The Fund will lead to increased habitat loss and degradation - a primary threat to many endangered species!
* The Fund is likely to encourage the broader use of risky offsets for threatened and endangered species
* By paying into the fund, developers can walk away from the harm done with little to no consequences!
* There is no requirement to use the fund to compensate for negative social impacts on municipalities, watersheds, or traditional Indigenous territories
* The Fund lacks transparency and accountability, with no requirement to share potential harms with the public
