I'm pleased to see the MTO propose more refined definitions of e-bikes and cargo e-bikes. And also it's good to hear that electrically-driven mopeds will be defined in a different class.
You mentioned that cargo e-bikes are "poised to enter the Ontario market". This seems to ignore that cargo e-bikes are already here and have been here for quite a few years.
"Commercially delivery purposes": this ignores that cargo e-bikes are also already being used and sold for families to carry children, or even adults.
"Provincial compliance label": it is sad that contrary to other vehicles such as motorcycles, e-bikes are not going to be regulated federally. This will increase the cost for businesses to be compliant.
