Comments on behalf of the Corporation of the Township of Tiny area as follows:
•Provide the GIS layers to the local municipalities to allow for more accurate comparison of the draft Provincial mapping with the current local mapping.
•Ensure that all settlement areas are removed from the Agricultural System.
•Ensure that all historically designated and zoned future development lands in the Shoreline area are removed from the Agricultural System.
•Several Provincially Significant Wetlands, and other natural features such as ANSI’s, should be removed from the proposed Agricultural System (i.e. Tiny Marsh), as they are given strong protection through the Township’s current and proposed Official Plan policies.
•Allow an opportunity for the municipalities to refine the detailed mapping before it is finalized as opposed to awaiting a MCR, which will take years at the County level. Once the final mapping is approved, it will have strict implications for property owners who have been incorrectly mapped.
