I think the huge increase in the number of MZO issued by the Ford government over 2.5 years in office vs the 15 year run of the Liberals says a lot. This is a government not interested in using power for emergency or general public good but in forcing through their wishes and plans without any public consultation or transparency.
I happen to live in one of these areas, the secrecy surrounding what's going on is insulting. If the government truly believes they have a plan which is necessary and beneficial, why not involve those directly impacted, explain, reveal—not just words from a comms team.
Unless there are provisions which cannot be bent/skipped, forcing transparency, clarity, and actual plans I am very much not in favour of this government having more power and control.
