As a Campbellville resident I am deeply fearful for what this quarry would do to our community. The increased traffic, emissions from the trucks and machines, the noise, the dust, the risks to water quality, the list goes on. No environmental measures taken by the company will mitigate these risks. The only benefit of this quarry is for the company that owns it to make their profits while directly comromising the surrounding environment and community. The proposed site is far too close to family homes and the village to be anything but harmful.
I sincerely hope that our elected officials will oppose this, as they promised they would.
This will destroy our community and the environment in Campbellville.
