As a Campbellville resident I am deeply fearful for what this quarry would do to our community. The increased traffic, emissions from the trucks and machines, the noise, the dust, the risks to water quality, the list goes on. No environmental measures taken by the company will mitigate these risks. Read more

The Niagara Escarpment area is prone to sink holes and I am concerned that underground blasting in the quarry could present a danger to residents and visitors. Many of us who have hiked the escarpment area around Campbellville are aware of numerous under ground caves. Read more

The requirements under the ARA for a licence are extensive. Requiring an EA is superfluous and will only result in a delay in an already lengthy and expensive process. Any objections can be dealt with in the ARA and planning processes, including hearings before the LPAT. An EA is not required. Read more

My husband and I vehemently oppose the Reid Rd. Quarry. It will jeopardize our water and the truck traffic will be horrendous. There are many accidents on the 401 around this area causing traffic to detour onto our roads. Read more
