The Niagara Escarpment area is prone to sink holes and I am concerned that underground blasting in the quarry could present a danger to residents and visitors. Many of us who have hiked the escarpment area around Campbellville are aware of numerous under ground caves. The rock structure appears to be quite unstable. I live on the Escarpment near the quarry and I certainly see signs of the ground settling. If blasting triggers a sink hole, how would liability be determined? The worst case scenario is loss of life.
