I am a resident of the Port Hope east end and Oak Ridges Moraine area of the Greenbelt and I fully support growing the size of the Greenbelt in Ontario. We need to protect our land and water resources very carefully and any additional protections that also protect our agricultural assets are very important in this province. Urbanization and development can not be handled in the same old ways anymore, we need to modernize our approach to growth and stop spreading out into environmentally significant lands.

I am the owner of an operational farm within the Greenbelt, and even though the Greenbelt limits some of the things we are allowed to do with our land, I am fully in support of it and think it is the RIGHT thing to do to have limits and protections on the land of this province.
