This will affect the air, water, land, buildings, and highways in the surrounding community, not to mention their mental health regarding the noise and traffic.
This is a very invasive method of removing the gravel, and not what was originally allowed. The easier removal of the gravel was exhausted and the pit closed, until they developed more drastic and forceful method. Will we go nuclear next?
It seems extending the money they can take from the ground is more important than what it will do to the people who live in this area, or what they will have to pay to repair the extended damage their extraction methods cause.
