As someone who cares deeply about preserving the natural environment, and respecting the primacy of local government to make planning decisions, I object strongly to this potential change. This change would have the potential to ignore technical evidence on which to base zoning decisions. I do not want such decisions to be made on a political basis.

Please do not make any such change. I would in fact like to see more restrictions on the use of MZOs.
