I respectfully request that the Government initiative to exempt MZOs from legal and policy restrictions on farmland and natural areas in Bill 257 be removed from the bill. As a consultant involved in environmental and infrastructure planning and climate change adaptation, I believe that MZOs will serve to further degrade water and land resources and impair our capacity to deal with the consequences of CC especially with regards to stormwater management in urban areas.
