I am totally in favour of expanding the greenbelt , both to the areas currently under consideration, and to all possible new areas.
The eradication of sprawl is an absolutely key element in the quality of life of today's inhabitants of southern Ontario, where many natural areas are being decimated and even obliterated by rampant development- both residential and commercial. We do not wish to live in such an environment!
Combined with the expansion of the greenbelt must be strict limitations on land use, preventing unsightly and ecologically unsound development, not only in the greenbelt, but in the remaining rural areas. It is critical that intrusive and threatening developments such as the 413 must be eradicated.
I am pleased to see the Ontario government developing an awareness of the factors that govern quality of life beyond economic factors, which are perhaps the least important.
