I wholeheartedly support…

I wholeheartedly support this proposed expansion of the Greenbelt. In addition, I strongly urge the government of Ontario:

1. to harmonize its policies across all of its ministries to favour the largest possible expansion of the Greenbelt. This will protect, enlarge and conserve ecological corridors, and will keep important natural areas off-limits to development, which, in turn, will ensure long-term biodiversity in Ontario. Biodiversity is a key element of our resilience to climate change and species loss;
2. to consider The Rouge River upstream of Rouge National Urban Park and Duffin’s Creek as key areas for restoration and enhanced protection and connectivity.
