Hello,
Thank you for the opportunity to comment. If there is sincere interest in protecting green spaces I hope you will pay extra attention to the following suggestions:

1) Protection of countryside by setting Greenbelt aside from urban development to preserve agricultural land, natural heritage resources and to preserve the environmental services provided by the hydrological functions of moraines.

2) Support inclusion of the Urban River Valleys of the Speed and Eramosa Rivers in Guelph in the Greenbelt as key links to Countryside Greenbelt areas.

3) Expand the study to include the Paris-Galt moraine to cover the entire watershed of the Speed and Eramosa Rivers to and allow consideration of ways to link Greenbelt area protection with special treatment of Exceptional Countryside River Valley

The Guelph and Wellington County area has benefitted from many studies. The BluMetric Summary Report stating our watershed is a precarious position and water resources are "unsustainable' and even "uncertain" given future concerns for development, climate change and population growth. Yet a panel of hydrologists has declared there is no concern for heavy water pumpers. Does this make sense? Protect our river valleys, the lushness of the river valleys helps keep them safe.
