Expanding the Greenbelt in the GTA is crucial for helping to improve air quality by not allowing more development within protected areas, planting more trees, allowing the public to access expanded hiking trails, conserving biodiversity and protecting threatened and endangered species. I was born in 1964 in Toronto, and I've watched with dismay (for the most part) how large and dirty the GTA has become. Millions more people, buildings and cars... we need more greenspace!!!
