I am extremely opposed to Sarjeant Co drawing this volume of water for their pit. This fresh aquifer water is limited, and surely they do not need 3.5 millions of gallons a day. This volume of water drawn daily is an abuse and waste of this precious fresh water. This company should draw a minimal volume of water, filter and reuse the drawn water, NOT waste our precious, limited clean groundwater for commercial profit. Our Ontario government needs to step up and protect our water.
