I am vehemently opposed to the proposed changes that are being submitted by Miller Paving Inc. This is a slippery slope that not only impacts current residents of the much beloved "Trail Capital of Canada"; but future generations as well.

The Miller pit is located on a Highly Vulnerable Aquifer that is within the Oak Ridges Moraine, causing permanent damage to our water system. If approved, this would allow Miller and any other aggregate company to change their sites into whatever they wish without considering the environmental, and residential ramifications because there would not be any legislation that would protect the land and local residents.

Uxbridge is special, we are surrounded by environmentally sustainable land that should remain protected. My family moved here because of these protected lands. These pits should be restored back to agricultural land or natural self-sustaining vegetation and not a permanent industrial site.
