As a local resident to this proposal, I completely disagree with it. Although I have several concerns, my primary one is the risk this puts to our water supply. Miller will inevitably dump material on the site, which will leach into our water supply. We’ve heard anything dumped will be tested.

Any changes to the property should consider the long term ground water impacts. There are various examples of ground water contamination. This proposal is another example of longer term ecological issues.

As gravel companies are given permission to obtain gravel on the Oak Ridges Moraine (ORM) with the agreement that the companies will reclaim the land to its "natural state" any changes which result in this not happening further degrades the land and the intent of the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation

All gravel pits need to be rehabilitated! This should not be changed as any kind of industry could then come in and cause needless harm to the environment. It is a dereliction of duty for any gravel pit owners to not do this especially since they pay so little tax to the township as it is.

This land was always intended to be returned to its natural state once its aggregate resources had been depleted. That is what should still happen. A full environmental review should be implemented.

This land in not owned by Miller and they should not be allowed to construct industrial facilities on it.

I think this is a horrible idea and I don’t support the proposed changes. I believe the responsibility of managing this site should not move to the Township of Uxbridge. Who I would agree don’t have the expertise to effectively manage the inspections etc needed to ensure compliance.
