Remove the power of the government to circumvent procedure. No majority of Ontario resident supports it, ever.
Reward conservation and preservation by landowners.
Build in the cost of preservation to adjacent land permits.
Value the green belt and consider corporate and resident donor ownership. Ie Naming rights by hectare.
Value the co2 removal/absorption by the green belt. Build it into the assets of the Province.
Local is the new far. The green belt is more valuable now for local tourism. New business model around it. Local ecotourism.
