I am totally opposed to any application for further use of the Miller (Boyington) pit. Why have Millers been allowed to be using this site for outdoor storage for so long illegally? Do the rules and regulations that are supposed to apply to everyone not apply to them? It would appear so. Also if this application is approved there is no guarantee that any water supply in the surrounding area is safe. I thought it was the job of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Oak Ridges Moraine to protect vulnerable land from what is being applied for by Millers. If the application by Millers for an allowed contractors yard, the continued use of an asphalt plant, the building of a 40,000 square foot industrial building, and importing of 1 million cubic meters of likely unpoliced fill is accepted it would mean disaster for this entire area. The safety of water sources is of utmost importance not to mention the increased truck traffic and road safety to this beautiful area only minutes from the town of Uxbridge. The impact on the area and town would be disastrous. Please do NOT accept this application.
