To MNRF re Application for change of use for Boyington Pit #3 Uxbridge Ontario
As the pit has been mined out, it should be rehabilitated according to the law regarding mining of aggregates--no excuses.
In addition to not rehabilitating the pit, as of right now, the operators are in violation of their license by storing off site equipment with a danger of oil leakage into the water supply of the moraine--the water supply for surrounding houses which all have wells and eventually the water supply for Uxbridge.
As they are already in violation of the Aggregate Resources Act and Moraine legislation, we do not trust them to abide by any guidelines for proper use of land in the Moraine.
They must be made to properly rehabilitate the pit as required by law and the MNRF must ensure they do.
Thank you for soliciting our thoughts.
