Please do not approve this application. Do not release the lands in question from the existing license and make sure that the site is brought into compliance with the license. I understand that the existing license does not require fill to complete the promised rehabilitation of the pit. Please ensure that Miller Paving rehabilitates this pit according to the license they have in place currently.
I live in the Town of Uxbridge. I am an avid cyclist, horseback rider and user of the tremendous trail system in and around the Miller Pit. The 7th Concession is a popular road and is frequently used by cyclists of all ages to get to the Durham Forest at Goodwood Rd and the 7th Concession as well as the Brookdale Tract and the Wagg Road trail entrance. Because of this I am concerned about the amount of increased traffic this application if approved will create along the 7th Concession and hence, endanger the safety of cyclists, equestrians and pedestrians.
Again, please do not release these lands under any circumstances but especially for the intended purpose.
