The proposed Forest Biomass…

The proposed Forest Biomass Action Plan is a positive step towards better utilization of Ontario’s available and sustainable wood supply. Biomass opportunities will provide income and employment for local communities and First Nations while providing a means to offset a potentially significant amount of fossil fuel combustion. Within the policy framework for Crown forests, and third party certification, the use of forest biomass can provide a sustainable supply of energy and fibre while maintaining biodiversity. This is an important initiative for Ontario and should be fully supported. Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
