It is disturbing to me that the provincial Conservative government wants to cut funding and authority to the stewards of natural spaces. My family and I have enjoyed the Conservation area near us for decades in all weather. Many people visit to experience outdoor space, especially in the last year of needing to socially distance and exercise. Also I have volunteered for my local authority more than a decade.
Conservations Authorities provide recreation, educational programs and responsibility for maintaining healthy wild areas.
My vote next election will go to the party who makes this a priority.
