The cap and trade policy in existence is a comprehensive, well thought out policy that allows industry to continue its processes while making compensation for any negative environmental impact. It makes absolute sense for those industries to make fiscal compensation to the province in order to offset the adverse impacts. It shows that industry is also responsible as commercial citizens of the province to the population, while benefitting from the workforce that drives it's success.
Industrial citizenship is a mutual benefit partnership between owner/executives and workers that allows financial benefits to both, and must include protection for the environment, rather than prioritize financial benefits above protection of a safe environment for both individual and corporate citizens.
