This guide must include studies that will measure the physical and mental health of people on sensitive land uses, such as residential homes.
These will be short- and long-term studies by an independent qualified company.
The recommendations from these health studies will be applied to this guideline retroactively as soon as information is available.
1.1 Scope
The contents of the noise guide WILL be applied retroactively to previously completed projects.
What? The physical and mental health of people does not matter? You cannot apply today’s knowledge to past projects?
Table 2-1
65 db is the allowable noise level? This is dangerously, dangerously high. This guide must follow the WHO recommendations for noise of 40 LeqA.
All noise measurements will include LeqA and LeqC readings and be part of the above health study.
