Proposed changes to the MVIS Program have caused many MVIS Inspection stations to have questions.
When we did the Light Duty Inspection Standards, AARO and MTO were holding Information sessions across the province.
These were very well attended as we reached more than 10,000 technicians in these sessions. We had over 127 sessions in total and full houses.
AARO as the grass roots association would again offer our services to get the changes out with the MTO Officers, in these session Mr. Bob Lickers MTO officer was the one who provided the powerpoint presentation to the 10,000 attendees and answered questions about the changes.
We believe this helped reduce the number of calls to the office and MVIS stations, technicians knew what was required by them.
I am already getting many calls from the MVIS Inspection stations that want to know if they need new equipment, what is the cost, can I send it out for smoke test? How will this work?
AARO and the MTO should work together again to all all of the technicians and station owners to help with the new program changes.
