This is not a good proposal. Black Ash should be designated for protection immediately without delay.
Globally, Black Ash is critically endangered.
There has already been a year’s delay in protecting the species.
MECP’s claim that more time is needed to consider the social and economic impacts of protecting black ash is unfounded.
The delay would be inconsistent with the purpose and intent of the ESA.
