This is a good first step, but all carcinogenic pollutants, Endocrine disruptors, V.O.C.s etc should be included at some point in the near future. The soup we Ontarians live in is getting too thick!
I'm also concerned about who will be monitoring and policing the situation. If it's up to industry to report honestly, as was the case when I worked in the chemical industry, this whole thing is a sham! There are already way too many instances of the foxes guarding the hen houses and this issue is way too important to do half-way! The monitors should automatically signal an alarm to Environmental regulators, at the same time as the industries involved, to ensure immediate and proper oversight, without dependence on honest and timely reporting.
