Ihave gone over all the proposed changes to deer hunting and I have no issues with them except for the controlled gun hunts to bows as well. You say that you want to give bow hunters more opportunity when they already get on average 79 plus days and gun hunters in the controlled get 5 days or as many as 10. Our group hunts in the gun controlled hunt in 78A for December. We have 5 properties with permission to hunt. All of these have tree stands,2 or 3 in each that bow hunters own. None of these bow hunters hunt with guns in the controlled. We line these bushes to drive the deer and in all cases right along side of these tree stands. Allowing bow hunters to be there is only going to cause friction, hunters pissed off at one another as to who has the right and we sure as hell do not need this in the bush when hunters have weapons.Someone has not put much thought into this proposal or has never hunted with a group in the bush with shotguns. Come on guys, we who hunt with shotguns in the controlled only have 5 days. Let us be able to do this in a safe enviroment. The last thing we do not need is hunters fighting in the bush as to who has the right to be there. I do not know about you, but I want a safe bush to do so. Is that not what safe sport hunting is all about. Having fun and enjoying the great outdoors. If this proposal gets approved , we will be done gun hunting on these five properties, for sure. I am conservation.
