My comments are directed at…

My comments are directed at proposal 019-4637. I have a number of concerns with a few of the proposals including proposal;

2. Allowing the bow hunters to hunt during the gun hunt will put them at risk of a stray shot since the gun hunters will often not be aware of their presence when they begin their drives. It will increase competition, interactions and confrontation between the two groups creating a negative experience. I would suggest these are some of the main reasons for the closing of archery season in the first place.

3. Changes in WMU 08. I would like to see exactly (specifics) of the changes that are being proposed. It should be noted that the surrounding WMU,s are not open to non residents and do not give out additional antlerless tags. These differences have lead to a serious influx of non residents from Ontario as well as the non residents alien and high hunting pressure in the unit. The additional tags should be eliminated or reduced to only 1 additional tag before changes are made that would increase the rifle hunting pressure in this WMU. Other WMU,s in NW Ontario have eliminated the issuing of additional tags Area 8 should do the same.
